I don’t normally follow much that comes out of BIN, but this one caught my eye and I thought I would put it up and see what followed.
Anybody that followed the comet Elenin shebang a couple of years back, will recall that at the time of the third alignment of this comet with Earth and another cosmic body, that the governments of the world were taking vacation, standing down, disappearing etc.. Even the Vatican took a breather. And this article where Obama was in Denver -

Below is a link to Earthquakes and Comets, which details the work of Mensur Omerbaschich and his linking of comet alignments and earthquakes during Elenin’s passing -
“At the time of its discovery, the Comet was about 401 million miles - 647 million Km. from Earth.
Over the past months, the comet has closed the distance to Earth's vicinity as it makes its way closer to perihelion, that is, the closest point to the sun.
An analysis of its orbit predicted that its perihelion - closest orbital distance to the sun, was a negligible 8.8 Astronomical Unit. 1 a.u. equals 149,598,000 Km. from us.
Alignments, Earthquakes and Tsunamis
Mensur Omerbaschich, PhD in Theoretical Geophysics from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, used the Elenin Comet for his scientific paper on planetary alignments causing big earthquakes.
According to Omerbashich, he used the comet Elenin for his research, “as it has been adding to robustness in terms of very strong seismicity since 2007 - in terms of strongest seismicity: since 1965.”
Omerbashich's main claim regarding Elenin is that there exists tidal "resonance" between the comet and the Earth. This is evidenced by increased levels of earthquakes at specific times.
His website consists of a series of predictions about the severity of the world's earthquakes. He lists the number that is above a specific magnitude and states how this fits perfectly with his predictions of resonance between Elenin and Earth. “
